Preventing Hacking

There are many preventative measures to ensure that can stop hackers. For example, it is important to have different passwords for every web service[4]. This ensures that accessing one password does not mean every password is compromised. In addition, one may want to install an antivirus software, keep up-to-date, and only install trusted applications. Keeping up-to-date software prevents the likelihood that a hacker abuses a problem present in a previous application. Trusted applications are less likely to have malicious software, so it is less risky to install them. It is also advised to have strong passwords and to use multifactor authentication if available[5]. These methods ensure that an account is secured and private information is kept safe.
